Duluth, GA - The Atlanta Gladiators, proud affiliate of the NHL’s Nashville Predators and the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals, announced on Wednesday that forward Isak Walther has been loaned to Milwaukee.
Walther, 24, has 13 goals and 10 assists for 23 points in 25 games with the Gladiators this season. The first-year pro out of the University of Vermont led Atlanta in goals and was tied with Chad Nychuk for the team lead in points at the time of his departure for Milwaukee. Walther’s 13 goals are tied for the most among ECHL rookies with Cincinnati’s Ryan Kirwan, and his 23 points are tied for second among ECHL rookies with Kirwan and Kansas City’s Jackson Jutting.
Walther, a native of Södertälje, Sweden, was selected by the Nashville Predators in the 6th round (179th overall) of the 2019 NHL Draft and signed with the Gladiators over the summer after four seasons playing NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Vermont, where he scored 23 goals and 33 assists for 56 points in 128 career games with the Catamounts.
