Duluth, GA - The Atlanta Gladiators, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators and the American Hockey League’s Milwaukee Admirals, announced on Thursday via the team’s YouTube channel that the team has signed forward Sam Tremblay for the 2026-27 season.

Tremblay, 31, signs in Atlanta for the 2026-27 season after scoring 7 goals and 10 assists for 17 points in 48 games with the Sheffield Steelers of the Elite Ice Hockey League last season. The 5’11”, 185-pound forward returns to the ECHL after playing the three seasons in Europe with the Manchester Storm, Sheffield Steelers, and Sheffield Steeldogs (NIHL).

A native of St-Basile-le Grand, Quebec, Tremblay played at McGill University from 2016 to 2022 before beginning his professional career with the Wheeling Nailers in the 2022-23 season, where he finished the campaign with 9 goals and 20 assists for 29 points in 63 games. He then signed with the Manchester Storm for the 2023-24 season, scoring 12 goals and 13 assists for 25 points in 48 games under current Gladiators head coach, Matt Ginn. 

Tremblay spent the next two seasons within the Sheffield Steelers organization, spending time with both the Steelers and the Steeldogs in the 2024-25 season, scoring 6 goals and 9 assists in 18 games with the Steelers; and 30 goals and 38 assists for 68 points in 43 games with the Steeldogs. 

“Sam is a guy that I coached in Manchester one season and was a big part of our success. He is a hard-nosed player that plays with a lot of jam and a seemingly endless motor,” said Gladiators’ Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations, Matt Ginn. 

He continued to praise Tremblay for his leadership qualities and style of play, saying, “Sam has worn a letter multiple times in his career due to his leadership qualities on and off the ice. His energy on the ice is contagious, and he will play in all situations for us. Sam is a big addition to our group and I’m looking forward to being able to coach him again.”

Sam Tremblay joins Max Neill, Connor Caponi, Kyle Pow, Anthony Cipollone, Joey Cipollone, Jack Blake, Stephen Calisti, Ryan Nolan, Kirklan Irey, Mickey Burns, Ethan Strang, Corson Hopwo, Andrew Jarvis, Josh Winquist, and Ryan Conroy as players who have signed with the Gladiators for the 2026-27 season.
