Duluth, GA - The Atlanta Gladiators, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators and the American Hockey League’s Milwaukee Admirals, announced on Thursday via the team’s YouTube channel that the team has signed forward Corson Hopwo for the 2026-27 season.
Corson Hopwo signs his first professional contract with the Gladiators after four seasons of collegiate hockey at Acadia University from 2022-2026. The 25-year-old forward tallied 8 goals and 5 assists for 13 points in 20 games last season in his senior campaign. Hopwo concluded his collegiate career with 21 goals and 30 assists for 51 points in 99 games.
Prior to his time at Acadia University, Hopwo played four seasons in the Western Hockey League (WHL). Most of his junior career was spent with the Medicine Hat Tigers, with a brief stint with the Lethbridge Hurricanes at the end of the 2021-22 season. In his time in the WHL, the 5’11”, 180-pound forward notched 47 goals and 59 assists for 106 points in 201 games.
“Corson is a driven player that is eager to get his foot in the door at the pro level,” said Gladiators’ Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations, Matt Ginn. “He plays a high energy game with some sandpaper and grit. He is a versatile player that will go to the dirty areas and do what is needed to win. We’re excited to add Corson to our group,” he said.
Corson Hopwo joins Max Neill, Connor Caponi, Kyle Pow, Anthony Cipollone, Joey Cipollone, Jack Blake, Stephen Calisti, Ryan Nolan, Kirklan Irey, Mickey Burns, Ethan Strang, and Ryan Conroy as players who have signed with the Gladiators for the 2026-27 season.
