Duluth, GA - The Atlanta Gladiators, proud ECHL affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Nashville Predators and the American Hockey League’s Milwaukee Admirals, announced on Tuesday via the Gladiators’ YouTube channel that the team has signed defenseman Jack Blake for the 2026-27 season.
Blake, 24, signs his first professional contract with the Gladiators after a four-year collegiate career at Bowling Green State University from 2022-2026. The 6’2”, 190-pound defenseman logged 3 assists in 62 career games with the Falcons, notching 2 assists in 16 games during his senior season in 2025-26.
Prior to his time at Bowling Green State, Blake spent the 2021-22 season in the Ontario Junior Hockey League with the Oakville Blades, posting 2 assists in 30 games. A native of Manhattan Beach, CA, Blake spent much of his youth within the Los Angeles Jr. Kings program, and afterwards joined the Shattuck St. Mary’s 18U Prep team, with whom he recorded 4 goals and 34 assists for 38 points in 94 games across two seasons from 2018-2020. Blake spent the 2020-21 season with the USPHL Premier’s Provo Riverblades, scoring 3 goals and 11 assists for 14 points in 17 games before committing to Bowling Green State University.
“Jack is a steady defenseman that adds depth and competition to our D core,” said Gladiators’ Head Coach & Director of Hockey Operations, Matt Ginn. “He is a terrific teammate and person, who will be a big add to our group,” he continued. “Jack is excited to make the jump to the pro level and to have an impact. We’re excited to bring Jack to Atlanta and add him to our group.”
Jack Blake joins Max Neill, Connor Caponi, Kyle Pow, Anthony Cipollone, Joey Cipollone, and Ryan Conroy as players who have signed with the Gladiators for the 2026-27 season.
