DULUTH, Ga. - Four unanswered goals from the South Carolina Stingrays (20-5-3-1) were the difference as the Atlanta Gladiators (21-11-2-0) fell 5-1 Wednesday night at home.

First Star: Kevin O’Neil (SC) - 2 goals

Second Star: Josh Wilkins (SC) - 1 goal, 1 assist

Third Star: Justin Florek (SC) - 1 goal, 1 assist

South Carolina struck first in the contest just before the midway point of the opening period to make it 1-0 (11:05).

Atlanta responded just over a minute and a half later to tie the game 1-1 (9:33). Gabe Guertler sent a beautiful shot into the net for his 10th goal of the season.

The Stingrays renewed their one-goal lead late in the first period making it 2-1 (1:33).

With less than ten minutes to go in the second period South Carolina extended their lead to 3-1 (9:33). 

An early Stingrays goal in the third period made the score 4-1 South Carolina (18:16).

The Stingrays stretched their lead to 5-1 just four minutes later (14:14). 

Clay Stevenson made 28 saves to secure the victory for South Carolina, Tyler Parks turned aside 23 of 28 shots in the loss for Atlanta.
