Gladiators Receive Prestigious Awards

Duluth, GA – Team President Jerry James, who recently was named one of the “Top 50 Most Influential Latino in Georgia,” received his honor today at the award presentation that took place at the Infiniti Club at SunTrust Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. There was also a special tribute for State Representative Pedro “Pete” Marin, who also plays a big role in the Gladiators' front office

"This is truly an honor and I plan to continue my work not just with the Gladiators and Gwinnett county, but with the entire state of Georgia. It is great to be recognized for your work, but I just want to continue to support the people that help the Gladiators in my community. I owe a lot of credit to the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and I thank the countless people who put me in the position to make this possible," said Gladiators Team President Jerry James.

Nine-term State Representative Pete Marin, who is also the Business Development Advisor for the Atlanta Gladiators, was a big part of the prestigious event. Pete was one of six people inducted in the inaugural class of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame.

Marin said on indoctrination, “It has truly been an honor to be inducted as a Hall of Fame recipient to the Georgia Hispanic Chamber first class. I’m blessed to be recognized for the years of hard work and commitment to paving the road for others to follow.”

The event coincides with the launch of Los Bravos weekend, commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month, in a partnership between the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Atlanta Braves.
