DULUTH, G.a. – The Atlanta Gladiators are proud to announce the addition of our inaugural Pucks and PJs promotion to WGTA MeTV Flashback Friday on February 8th at 7:35pm vs. the South Carolina Stingrays.
Take a trip down memory lane as we honor the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s during each period of hockey. There will be in-game contests, trivia, lots of blast from the past music, and clips from your favorite shows in each decade. Our very own Glads Girls will also be dancing to some throwback music. Come dressed in your best 60’s, 70’s, or 80’s gear.
In addition to Flashback Friday, the Gladiators are excited to announce that this evening will also include pro hockey’s first ever PJ Toss. Across the State of Georgia, there are approximately 15,000 children in the foster care system. We have partnered with Jambos, an organization that provides pajama’s to children as they transition into their new foster homes. For the first time ever, the Atlanta Gladiators are asking fans to bring new, packaged pajamas to throw on to the ice when the Gladiators score our first goal. We are encouraging fans to bring their new, packaged PJs in a gallon sized zip lock bag to make it easier to throw onto the ice (the bag will keep the PJ’s clean for the kids).
“The Teddy Bear Toss has become a staple in helping children across all of hockey, and now we want to take an already amazing and successful event and expand on it to impact even more kids in our community and beyond,” said Team President Scott Henrichsen.
