The Atlanta Gladiators announced Friday that the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL have released forward Phil Lane from his professional try-out contract and he has reported to the team.
Lane, 25, skated in three games for the AHL’s Admirals and scored one goal during his time with Milwaukee. In 21 games with the Gladiators, the Rochester, NY native still leads Atlanta in goals with (12), plus/minus with a rating of plus-nine and is second in points (20) even after missing nearly two weeks. Lane has arrived in Kalamazoo, MI and will be in the lineup on Friday night vs. the K-Wings.
In non-related transactions, forward Colin Jacobs and defenseman Taylor Doherty have been active from injured-reserve and return to the lineup vs. Kalamazoo.
