The Atlanta Gladiators announced Thursday that the Boston Bruins of the NHL have recalled goaltender Dan Vladar to the Providence Bruins of the AHL.
Vladar, 20, has appeared in one game thus far for the Gladiators where he made 30 saves in a 3-1 loss at Florida last Saturday. The former 3rd Round pick (75th overall) of the Boston Bruins in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft was undefeated in regulation in eight games in the AHL for the P-Bruins last season with a 4-0-1 record, 2.62 goals-against average and .921 save percentage.
The Gladiators also announced the team has signed goaltender Troy Passingham to a standard professional contract. Passingham, 26, was just with the Macon Mayhem of the SPHL and attended training camp with Atlanta. The Mississauga, ON native played one game for the Gladiators in the preseason earning the win on October 6th at South Carolina.
