PRINCETON, N.J. – Thomas Frazee of the Atlanta Gladiators is the Sher-Wood Hockey ECHL Player of the Week for Oct. 23-29. It is the second time in his career that he has received the weekly honor.
Frazee tallied six points (1-5-6) and was a +6 last week, helping the Gladiators to a three-game sweep of division rivals. The 27-year-old posted two assists in a 6-5 win at Jacksonville on Thursday, had an assist in a 5-4 victory at Orlando on Saturday and recorded three points (1g-2a) in a 4-2 win over the Solar Bears on Sunday. A native of North Vancouver, British Columbia, Frazee is tied for sixth in the ECHL with nine points (3g-6a) in seven games. Under contract with San Antonio of the American Hockey League, Frazee has 139 points (57g-82a) in 218 career ECHL games with Atlanta, Fort Wayne, Evansville, Greenville and Bakersfield. Prior to turning pro, Frazee tallied 188 points (72g-116a) in 313 career games in the Western Hockey League with Portland, Medicine Hat, Moose Jaw, Regina and Kamloops.
On behalf of Thomas Frazee, a case of pucks will be donated to an Atlanta youth hockey organization by Sher-Wood Hockey, the exclusive puck supplier of the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, Sher-Wood Hockey has donated more than 37,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.
