Glads Fight Cancer Weekend and Princess Day Return

The Gladiators released their next pair of promotional games for the 2017-2018 season on Wednesday, announcing that Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend will return for Friday, January 26th through Sunday, January 28th. In addition, the fan favorite Princess Day will occur on Sunday, January 28th.

Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend is the Glads annual cancer awareness and fundraising weekend featuring the team playing on purple ice! The weekend began in 2008 with the team's first Pink in the Rink Weekend, spotlighting breast cancer and featuring pink ice. The team made the switch this past season to a more all-encompassing approach with the Hockey Fights Cancer Program, greenlighted by the NHL. Over the course of the weekend, the Gladiators and their fan base raise an extensive amount of funds through ticket sales for the weekend, HFC-themed merchandise sales, live auctions featuring game used Gladiators equipment, and other initiatives.

Non-profits and/or charitable groups are invited to partner with the Glads in their fundraising efforts by selling vouchers to the weekend good for any of the three games. Any participating groups keeps $5 from each ticket their sell, but those who sell 300 tickets are eligible to receive additional funds from the team's annual specialty jersey auction. A portion of the high-grossing auction are part of the HFC charitable haul, and are divvied out amongst the groups that sell the required amount of tickets.

Princess Day is a favorite amongst the tiniest prince and princesses in Gladiators Nation! Take part in our pre-game VIP Princess Luncheon to meet the Snow Queen and her sister in a fun, cozy setting while enjoying lunch, and then join the pair on-ice during the 1st Intermission for a "Let It Go" sing-a-long. You can also meet all of your favorite princesses pre-game and during the 2nd Intermission with a ticket to the game. We'll have a whole line-up of beauties on-hand that day to pose for pictures and meet fans as part of the game day experience!
