Pair Added to Gladiators Roster

The Atlanta Gladiators announced Wednesday that forward Justin Hickman has been reassigned by the Boston Bruins from the Providence Bruins. In addition, Atlanta has signed defenseman Colin Sullivan from the University of Miami (OH) to a standard professional contract.

Hickman, 23, rejoins the Gladiators after appearing with Atlanta for a brief one-game stint in this past Saturday's 5-1 win in Manchester, NH. The 6-foot-2, 225-pound forward is in his second season of a three-year entry level NHL contract with the Boston Bruins. The second-year pro has skated 95 AHL games thus far with the Providence Bruins and Bridgeport Sound Tigers amassing eight goals, four assists and 86 penalty minutes. The Lethbridge, AB native earned his NHL deal after playing five full seasons for the WHL's Seattle Thunderbirds. Hickman reregistered 132 points along with 466 penalty minutes in 285 games in his major junior hockey career and served as captain for Seattle during the 2013-14 campaign.

Sullivan, 23, is set to make his pro debut with the Gladiators after completing a three-year stint for the University of Miami (OH). The former 7th Round pick (198th overall) of the Montreal Canadiens in 2011 NHL Entry Draft earned five points in 54 career games for the Redhawks. The 6-foot-1, 201-pound defensive defenseman also saw one season for the Boston College Eagles in 2012-13 notching an assist in 32 games.
