Defenseman Tommy Vannelli has been assigned to the Atlanta Gladiators from the AHL's Chicago Wolves by the NHL's St. Louis Blues, the team announced Friday.
Vannelli, 21, will continue his rookie professional season with the Gladiators after collecting two assists in 11 games for the ECHL's Missouri Mavericks. The former 2nd Round pick (47th overall) of the St. Louis Blues in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft earned his high draft selection after registering 76 points in 104 WHL games for the Medicine Hat Tigers over two years. The Minnetonka, MN native has seven games of AHL experience recording one assist during the 2015-16 campaign.
