The Atlanta Gladiators announced Tuesday that the Providence Bruins of the AHL have assigned forward Mark Naclerio to the Glads and that the team has inked forward Mike Moran to a standard professional contract.
Naclerio, 24, began his rookie season with the Glads’ AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins, collecting one goal in seven games for the P-Bruins thus far. The 6-foot, 185-pound center briefly appeared with Providence last season, amassing one goal in seven games after a four-year stint with Brown University. During his collegiate tenure with the Bears, the Milford, Connecticut native was named team captain his junior and senior seasons and registered 103 points in 129 games. Naclerio set career highs in goals (16), assists (19), and points (35) in 31 contests during his sophomore year.
Moran, 25, has skated in 19 games this season for the Mississippi River Kings of the SPHL, tallying a league-leading 14 goals. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound forward has earned 23 points during his first year of pro hockey, which ranks second most in the SPHL. The Marshfield, MA native played four full seasons at Boston University prior to the start of his professional career. In 141 games for the Terriers, Moran notched 25 points, including a career high 10 points in 39 games his senior season. In separate transactions, Atlanta has activated goaltender Jay Williams from suspension and suspended forward Bryan Cameron.
