The Atlanta Gladiators have received goalie Dan Vladar from the Boston Bruins, defenseman Ben Marshall from the Providence Bruins, and forward Miles Koules from the Los Angeles Kings, the team announced Monday.
Vladar returns to Atlanta as assigned by Boston after he spent the weekend with the Glads’ AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins, while Marshall joins the Gladiators for the first time since his rights were acquired from the Indy Fuel back on October 8th. The Minnesota Native did not appear in any games with the P-Bruins after making the team out of training camp.
Koules, 22, comes to the Gladiators after his ECHL rights were acquired by Atlanta from the Wichita Thunder in a previous transaction. The Los Angeles, CA native split last season between the ECHL’s Quad City Mallards and Wichita Thunder. The second-year pro excelled after being traded mid-season to the Thunder as he produced 13 points in 15 games. The 6-foot, 192-pound forward will make his season debut with the Gladiators after attending training camp with the Ontario Reign of the AHL after signing an NHL deal with his hometown Kings this past offseason.
In a separate transaction, the Gladiators have released goaltender Alex Vazzano. The roster now sits at 22 skaters and two goalies as the team commences a four game road trip to Allen, TX and Tulsa, OK this week.
