Bryan Cameron and Colin Jacobs have agreed to terms with the Atlanta Gladiators for the 2016-2017 season, the team announced on Thursday.Drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the 3rd Round (82nd overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Cameron joins the Gladiators after spending the 15-16 season with the STS Sanok of the Polska Hojek Liga, Poland's top-level hockey league. In 13 games played, the Brampton, Ontario native scored 12 goals and 11, averaging almost two points per game. Prior to heading overseas, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound forward appeared in 148 career ECHL games, notching 41 goals and 62 assists for 103 total points. Additionaly, the 27-year-old spent time with the American Hockey League's now-defunct Abbotsford Heat, earning six goals and nine assists for 15 points scored in 60 games played."Bryan is a proven goal scorer at all levels," said Gladiators Head Coach Andy Brandt. "He’s a smaller player that isn’t afraid of going hard to the net front and into the corners, and he comes highly recommended by a number of his previous coaches. "
Jacobs, 23, comes to Atlanta after spending the past three seasons with the ECHL's Elmira Jackals. In 123 career games with the Jackals, the Coppell, Texas native has 21 goals and 26 assists for 47 total points. Drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 4th Round (107th overall) in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound forward has spent time in each of the last four seasons with the AHL's Rochester Americans. Jacobs has tallied two goals and five assists for seven points in 46 career AHL games."Colin is a top six forward with the skills and potential necessary to play at the next level," said Brandt. "Nathan [Oystrick, Assistant Coach] knows him well from his time with Elmira last season and spoke highly of him as both a player and a person."
