Frazee, McEachen Back in ATL

Forward Thomas Frazee and Defenseman Patrick McEachen have agreed to terms with the Gladiators for the 2016-2017 season, the team announced on Wednesday.

Frazee, 26, returns to the Gladiators for his second season with the team. Appearing in 71 games with Atlanta in 2015-2016, the North Vancouver, British Columbia native notched 16 goals and 31 assists for 47 total points. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound forward finished the season ranked second on the team in points (47). Prior to joining the Gladiators last summer, Frazee spent time with the American Hockey League’s Charlotte Checkers during the 2014-2015 season.

"Thomas had a very solid season for us last year," said Gladiators Head Coach Andy Brandt. "What stands out for me is that we were able to use him in several different roles. He showed us his versatility as a player, and his ability to play successfully in various scenarios.

"For him, it was about having the opportunity to contribute. We provided that, and Thomas made the most of it."

Patrick McEachen (pronounced mick-KEY-an), 25, returns to the Gladiators lineup after joining the team in February 2015 via trade with the Florida Everblades. The Stouffville, Ontario native went on to appear in 10 contests with Atlanta, earning two total points and eight penalty minutes. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound defenseman elected to play in Europe for the 2015-2016 season, signing with Rapaces de Gap (FRA) of the Ligue Magnus. In 24 games played in France, McEachen notched 2 goals and 12 assists for 14 total points.

The Atlanta Gladiators 14th season kicks off at the Infinite Energy Arena on Friday, October 14th against the Toledo Walleye at 7:35 PM. For ticket information, visit the official team website at www.atlantagladiators.com or call the main office line at 770-497-5100.
