Gladiators Award Over $8000 to Gwinnett Relay

The Atlanta Gladiators recently stopped by the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds to present the American Cancer Society-Gwinnett Chapter with a check for $8250 during their team captain meeting in advance of the county’s annual (and world’s largest) Relay for Life event. The organization earned the money when numerous Relay for Life teams sold Pink in the Rink vouchers as part of the Gladiators Pink in the Rink weekend held March 19-20. Due to their tremendous sales efforts, the American Cancer Society also was awarded a portion of the proceeds from the Gladiators post game jersey auction held February 6.According to Roxanne Tigue, Senior Community Manager, the funds raised will be used to help fund research and support services here in the local community. The Gladiators want to salute all of the participants in this years Relay for Life as once again Gwinnett county raised over two million dollars to help aid in the fight against cancer. If your school, athletic organization or other non-profit is interested in finding out more about the Gladiators fundraising program please contact our office at 770-497-5100.
