The Atlanta Gladiators announced today that they have received forward Zack Phillips from the AHL’s Providence Bruins as assigned by the NHL’s Boston Bruins. Phillips, 23, has collected 14 points in 39 games this season for Providence. The former first-round draft pick, who was selected 28th overall by the Minnesota Wild in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, is in his second season with the Bruins organization. The fourth year pro was acquired by Boston via trade from the Wild in March 2015, and recorded a combined 26 points in 65 games last season with time split between Minnesota's AHL affiliate, the Iowa Wild, and Providence. in 251 career professional games, all in the AHL, the 6-foot-1, 198-pound forward has totals of 35 goals and 64 assists for 99 points. Phillips is en route to Utah for the Gladiators remaining two games of a three-game set in Salt Lake City against the Utah Grizzlies tomorrow and Saturday night at the Maverik Center.
