Forward Eric Neiley was assigned to the Atlanta Gladiators by the Providence Bruins, the team announced on Friday. Neiley has joined the Gladiators and will be available for tonight’s game in Greenville. Neiley, 23, began his rookie season by playing three games for the P-Bruins. The 5-foot-11, 190-pound forward first appeared for Providence at the end of last season in one game after completing his senior season at Dartmouth College of the NCAA. The Warminster, PA native compiled an impressive collegiate career for the Big Green with 94 points in 129 games. During his senior year in 2014-15, Neiley was the only player in the NCAA to lead his team in five statistical categories. The right-handed center was first on Dartmouth in goals (14), assists (16), points (30), game-winning goals (6) and penalty minutes (36). The original version of this story included an additional assignment from Providence. Shortly after publishing the release, the P-Bruins recalled Defenseman Max Iafrate. To accommodate the roster additions, defenseman Drew Baker has been released from his standard professional contract. The Alpharetta, GA native had an assist in three games played for the Gladiators this season. The Atlanta Gladiators 13th season is now underway at The Arena at Infinite Energy Center.
