On the night of February 7, 2015 the Gladiators squared off again the Orlando Solar Bears for their annual Teddy Bear Toss Game. A Gladiator - and hockey - tradition, fans are encouraged to bring new and gently used Stuffed Animals to the arena in preparation to toss them on the ice once the Glads score their first goal. Brendan Walker had the honor of sending the fur flying when he put the puck past Goaltender Garret Sparks at the 8:30 mark of the 1st Period. Glads fans came from both near and far (thanks Jed!) to create a massive downpour of critters. So much so, in fact, that the Gladiators donated a record number of 181 bags of stuffed animals to various Metro Atlanta Agencies and Organizations: Childrens Healthcare of AtlantaThe Mason ClinicFragile Kids FoundationSpectrum MinistriesBB Harris ESThe Book Bank FoundationRelay for Life - Gwinnett CenterThe Taylor Brooks FoundationGwinnett County Fire DepartmentHart County Foster Parents AssociationFor My SistersAmerican Legion Post 251Salvation ArmyJoeys Toy BoxDobbins ARB - Family Service OperationsLift Up AtlantaPrince of Peace Catholic Church / Knights of ColumbusSt. Josephs Hospital We couldnt have done it without YOU, Glads Nation!
