Quentin Higgins

Athletic Trainer

Quentin enters his 2nd season with the Gladiators as the Athletic Trainer and Strength and Conditioning coach. In 2007, Quentin earned his bachelor’s degree in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Findlay and soon after worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach for Colgate University and the University of Iowa. In 2011, he received his Masters degree in Athletic Training from Weber State University. Quentin’s previous pro hockey experience includes working as Athletic Trainer and Strength Coach for the Las Vegas Wranglers of the ECHL in 2011-2013 and as Head Athletic Trainer of the Norfolk Admirals in the AHL for the 2013-2014 season.

Dr. Brian Morgan

Team Physician

Brian E . Morgan, MD of Atlanta Orthopaedic provides orthopaedic care to patients in Gwinnett. His primary practice is located on Satellite Boulevard in Suwanee. His specialties include orthopaedics, sports medicine, and arthroscopic surgery. Dr Morgan's special interest in sports medicine began as a participant. He is an avid sports enthusiast who played basketball on both the high school and college levels. He is also involved in many community, college, and professional organizations. He has been an orthopaedic consultant for Valdosta State University Football Team, Columbus State University Men and Women's Basketball Teams, Rochester Americans AHL Hockey Team, and is now the Team Physician for the Gladiators. He has also been a team physician for several area high schools and soccer teams. Dr. Morgan is a second generation physician and now walks the same halls at Gwinnett Medical Center as his father, Claud Morgan, MD, a 26 year emergency room veteran. He resides in the Atlanta area and in his free time enjoys sailing, windsurfing, water-skiing, playing the guitar, and playing basketball.

Dr. Erik Belinfante

Team Oral Surgeon

Dr. Erik Belinfante is a graduate of the University of Georgia. While at Georiga, he was a member of the UGA Ice Dawgs. He continued to play hockey with the Boston University School of Medicine while he was obtaining his his DMD at Boston University. Dr. Belinfante completed his internship at Boston City Hospital/Tufts, his General Anesthesia residency at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, his Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Brookly and Queens and a fellowship at LSU in facial trauma TMJ, dental implants and facial plastic surgeries. Dr. Belinfante followed in his father's footsteps and became a partner with Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery and practices locally in Johns Creek and Sugar Hill.

Dr. John Buchanan, DO

Official Primary Care Physician

John M. Buchanan, D.O. of Children's Orthopaedics of Atlanta provides primary sports medicine and orthopedic care to patients in Gwinnett, Hall, and Barrow counties. His practice is located in Hamilton Mill. He is a graduate of Mercer University where he played collegiate baseball. Dr Buchanan completed his residency at the University of Alabama and sports medicine fellowship at the University of Notre Dame. He serves as the team physician for Mill Creek, Buford, Apalachee, and Winder-Barrow High Schools. He resides in Dacula with his wife Sherri and three children, Kylie, Jackson, and Lindsey.

Dr. Frank Clayton

Team Dentist

Dr. Frank Clayton is a graduate of the University of Georgia’s Terry School of Business and the University of North Carolina’s School of Dentistry.  An original, Atlanta born-and-raised hockey fan, Dr. Clayton has a true passion for the game.  He currently practices in Suwanee, and is the founder of Clayton Dental.  Two of his three boys play ice hockey in Gwinnett.  His wife Donna is a physical therapist and full-time hockey Mom.

Dr. Daniel Howard

Team Podiatrist

Dr. Daniel Howard is a podiatrist at East Cobb Foot & Ankle Care.  Dr. Howard is an East Cobb native, graduating from Walton High School.  He went to the University of Georgia and worked in the Atlanta area for 5 years before going to the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine near Cleveland, OH.  Dr. Howard completed his three years of surgical residency training at Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham, MA and has returned home to Marietta and East Cobb to join our podiatry practice. 

Dr. Howard's interests include sports medicine, trauma care and surgery of the foot and ankle. He has personally competed in running, dance and juggling events.  Dr. Howard lives in the Marietta area.

Christine Laube

Team Optometrist

Dr Christine Laube practices optometry at Sugarloaf Eyecare in Duluth, GA. She obtained dual majors in psychology and biology at Ohio University where her love of hockey began. She graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 1999 and did her externship in ocular disease at Omni Eye Services in Atlanta. She is a member of the American and Georgia Optometric Associations. Dr. Laube's practice at Sugarloaf Eyecare specializes in hard to fit contact lenses and primary care optometry with a wide selection of distinctive eyewear and quality service. She resides in Suwanee with her husband Scott and daughter Kaitlyn and has been the official optometrist and season ticket holder of the Gwinnett Gladiators since their second season.

Dr. Mark Light

Team Podiatrist

Dr. Mark Light’s practice of podiatry is East Cobb Foot & Ankle Care. He has practiced in the Atlanta metropolitan area for the past 23 years and has worked with the team since their move to Gwinnett. He is originally from outside the Buffalo New York area. He is a graduate of Emory University, went to Chicago for his Podiatric Medical Education and completed a two year surgical residency program in Detroit, Michigan. He is Board Certified in both foot and ankle surgery. He has extensive training in all aspects of the medical and surgical treatment of foot and ankle conditions and treats all age groups from infants to senior adults. Areas of interest for Dr. Light include sports medicine, surgery, and quality and gentle care of the foot and ankle. An avid sports fan, he has personally participated in many sports and has had season tickets to many of the local sports teams. His resides in Marietta with his wife and 2 children. His goal is to help keep the Gwinnett Gladiators on the ice and in their skates.

Dr. Brad Ouellette

Team Chiropractor

Dr. Brad Ouellette of Sugarloaf Chiropractic provides chiropractic care in Duluth, GA. He has been in practice since 1999. Dr. Ouellette specializes in both sports and family chiropractic, offering a variety of techniques for his patients. He emphasizes achieving total health thru preventative care. Dr. Ouellette brings a variety of experience in his field providing care to professional athletes and coaches in the NHL, MLB, and NFL. Dr. Ouellette has also become a doctor for Scoliosis Specialists (SpineCor Brace). This will be Dr. Ouellette's twelfth season with the Gladiators.
