Marshall and Patterson Return to Atlanta

The Providence Bruins of the AHL have reassigned defenseman Ben Marshall to Atlanta, and the Gladiators have signed goaltender Kent Patterson to a standard professional contract, the team announced Friday.    

Marshall rejoins the Gladiators after a successful stint in Providence amassing six points in 13 games for the P-Bruins.  Prior to his assignment to the AHL on January 2nd, the Mahtomedi, MN resident earned 16 points in 24 games with the Gladiators.  The former Detroit Red Wings' draft pick also skated for Atlanta for a brief one game stint this past Saturday in the Gladiators' 5-1 victory in Manchester, NH. 

Patterson returns to Atlanta for the second time this season.  The Plymouth, MN native appeared in five games for the Gladiators this year going 2-1 which includes a 41 save performance in a 3-2 Atlanta win over the Eastern Conference leading Florida Everblades on December 17th.  During his 2015-16 campaign with the Glads, Patterson went 14-13-4 with a 2.97 goals-against average and 0.907 save percentage.
