The Gladiators will begin Part One of their annual Game Worn Jersey Auctions starting Friday, March 17th. The BLACK game worn jerseys will be part of a two-week onilne jersey auction that will occur on the team's Ebay page. The auction will last for two weeks, but will occur as two seperate one-week auction batches. The jerseys currently belonging to forwards will be up for auction from Noon EST on Friday, 3-17 through Noon on Friday, 3-24. The jerseys currently belonging to defensemen and goaltenders will go live at 1:00 PM EST on Friday, 3-24 and last through 1:00 PM on Friday, March 31st. Winning bidders will pay for their jersey via Ebay at the end of it jersey's auction, but will not receive them until Saturday, April 8th*. If the winning bidder will be at the Gladiators home game on that day, they're welcome to pick the jersey up, or can do so after April 8th at the Glads Front Office. (Arrangements can be made to ship the jersey, if need be.)
The Gladiators will have the jerseys signed by any players still on the active roster, but cannot guarantee that every jersey will be able to be signed. Bids start at $250.
Additionally, the Gladiators will auction off their WHITE game worn jerseys live on-ice after the home game on Saturday, April 8th. Fans will have the opportunity to meet the player whose jersey they win, and have their jersey autographed. (Jerseys auctioned off belonging to players not on the current Glads roster will not be autographed.) Fans who pay with cash or credit may leave with their jersey that evening. Fans who pay by check will be contacted by the Gladiators Front Office once their check has cleared and the jersey is available for pick-up.
Due to the transient nature of the ECHL, there may be jerseys that go up for bidding at the start of the auction that belong to a certain player who is later no longer with the team at the end of the auction. If that happens and an incoming college player is assigned his jersey/number, there will NOT be a new auction created for the new player. Bidding will continue on the original player's auction page. The winning bidder for that NUMBER will then have the option of having the original player's nameplate re-attached after the season, or keeping the new player's nameplate. The Gladiators reserve the right to remove any player's jersey from the list up until the moment the auction goes live. The end-of-season jersey auctions are NOT considered charitable donations.
